For the fifth instalment of the Editions Programme, CALIPER collaborated with Nifemi Marcus-Bello to update the Selah Lamp.
Fabricated in Madrid from laser cut and folded sheet steel with a hand worked galvanised finish to imitate the ‘Tales by Moonlight’ works Marcus-Bello produced locally in Lagos, Nigeria. This industrial metal finish is contrasted with a playful Corian yellow lampshade and accent components to give a warm glow, regulated by a dimmer switch and LED bulb.
With a Design for Assembly approach, the latest version of the lamp is flatpack and can be assembled using an allen key making it easy to transport when we all need to move from one space to another.
